Arlington Forest Club, Inc. is a non-profit corporation formed to promote the health and general welfare of its members; and to own, and operate a swimming pool and other recreational facilities, in the County of Arlington and the State of Virginia, for the exclusive use of its members.

Playground for the youngsters

The Arlington Forest Club is open to all people regardless of race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, handicap or political affiliation. Arlington Forest Club (AFC) is a self-owned swim and tennis club, situated on over three and one half acres, conveniently located off Carlin Springs Road between George Mason Drive and Arlington Boulevard. AFC is owned by the 675 families who have purchased membership certificates. Recreation facilities at AFC include a 25 meter swimming pool with two diving boards, separately-fenced wading pool for children six and under, four lighted composition tennis courts, tennis backboard, bath house, snack bar, shaded children's playground, volleyball play area, basketball hoops and a covered picnic area.

For young people 18 and under, AFC fields a swim team and a dive team. For tennis-playing adults, the club fields men's and women's teams. Additionally, AFC provides the facilities and instructors so members have on-site access to swim and tennis lessons (both group and private) for children and adults.

AFC hosts a number of special events each summer, such as children and teen parties, Sunday morning adult swims, adult and family parties, and a tennis tournament. All of these events are planned and run by volunteer AFC members.

The club is run by a Board of Directors elected from AFC membership. Board members serve a two-year term; club officers are elected each year.
