TENNIS: Juniors Team
This summer 2012, The Arlington Forest Club is fielding both Girls and Boys Teams in the Junior Divisions of the Northern Virginia Tennis League (NVTL). The junior teams will be coached by Gilbert Chen, the tennis professional of the Arlington Forest Club.
Team participation is open to AFC-member children ages 6 through 18 – with play consisting of 2 singles and 1 doubles match in EACH of the following categories:
- 10 and under
- 12 and under
- 14 and under
- 18 and under
There is NO CHARGE for participating on the AFC junior tennis team.
Practices
- Before School Gets Out – Mon & Wed afternoons, 4-5:30 p.m., at Arlington Forest. There will be SEVEN of these (optional) practices, beginning Wed, May 30 (the Wed after Memorial Day), and ending Wed, June 20th.
- After School Gets Out – Mon & Tues, 1-2pm (12 & under); 2-3pm (13-18) at AFC. There will be TEN of these (five weeks), starting Mon, June 25th (the first Mon after school gets out), and ending Tue, July 24th.

Matches
Matches take place on Wednesday mornings (generally from 8am-12noon) in the last week of June and all of July. Our five match mornings are: June 27, July 3 (a TUE due to 7/4 holiday), 11, 18 and 25. Parent volunteers (for transportation and/or drinks & snacks) are needed the days of the matches.
