Long Range Plan

As amended, March 15, 2005

This plan is intended to address major projects affecting the facilities or services provided by Arlington Forest Club over the period between 2005 and 2015. The plan covers only major or significant actions or improvements and does not address minor, even essential projects and expenditures needed to maintain operations. The plan is developed to meet the requirements of the Arlington Forest Club By-Laws.

On-Going Operations

The Arlington Forest Club will maintain all services and facilities provided to members in good operating condition.

Planned Capital Improvements

Two major capital improvements are priorities during the period covered by this long range plan:

  • Replacement of the pool

  • Replacement/upgrade of the bathhouse

Each capital project is described below.

Pool Replacement

The Arlington Forest Club intends to replace the existing pool preferably within the next two years. The pool replacement project will include all necessary construction and improvements to infrastructure, for example decks, pumps, or other ancillary equipment mandated by engineering designs and/or local legal requirements. These changes may also include improvements to parking or improved provisions for handicap access.

Replace/Upgrade the Bathhouse

The Club intends to initiate major improvements to the bathhouse before 2015. These improvements may include a complete replacement of the bathhouse. The improvements/replacement of the bathhouse is intended to meet the following objectives:

  • Improve services to the members

  • Address long term maintenance expenses associated with the current bathhouse

  • Improve accessibility

Tennis Courts

The Arlington Forest Club intends to replace the existing pool preferably within the next two years. The pool replacement project will include all necessary construction and improvements to infrastructure, for example decks, pumps, or other ancillary equipment mandated by engineering designs and/or local legal requirements. These changes may also include improvements to parking or improved provisions for handicap access.

Plan Modifications

This Plan may be modified in accordance with the By-Laws to change the plans associated with the projects described in Section B or to address additional capital improvements.
